Lesley Griffiths has announced today, that the budget of £238 million (the same as the last three years) will be available for direct payments in 2023. Furthermore, she has also confirmed subject to budget availability, BPS at the current level will continue to be provided in 2024. It was stated that the Welsh Government want to continue supporting Welsh Farmers, with the Sustainable Farming Scheme to come in from 2025.
